Hi, I’m Steve. I’m a single dad of a teenage boy living in beautiful Valencia, California. I’ve been on the West Coast for 30 years, but a piece of my heart will always reside in Philadelphia, where I was born and raised.

I have always loved taking pictures and making photo albums, ever since I was in high school. (I won’t reveal how long ago that was, but suffice it to say I thought my disc camera was super awesome!) I continued making albums until about 18 years ago when I discovered what could only lovingly be described as the “cult of scrapbookers”. I was instantly hooked, and spent every spare moment learning how to use every single cutter, inker, stamp, and stencil in order to make the most spectacular scrapbooks and mini-albums to contain my memories. Sure, I needed to take out a second mortgage in order to afford it all, but it became my artistic outlet, my creative expression, at times even my therapy… it was well worth the investment! And having retirement savings is so overrated anyway.

In 2005, the stars aligned unexpectedly and I purchased a scrapbook store in Northridge, California called Scrappers’ Corner. I ran that for a little over 2 years before life happened, and I needed to step away. (My son says “hi”, by the way!) My best memories were the classes I taught and the crops that went late into the night. It was always such a fun time, and I met some of the most amazing people in this crazy, loving, supportive world of crafting folks. I miss my time with them so much.

It’s been 12 years, and I’ve stayed active in scrapbooking. But I’ve also tried my hand in other paper crafting areas; card-making, mini-albums, art journaling, and home décor have all become favorites of mine. The desire to teach again and reconnect with other creative souls has been strong in me for a while, and so I decided 2020 was the year to come back.

To help me jumpstart all of this, I’ve become a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator. I’m so excited about this. Those of you who have scrapbooked with me know how much I love to use ink and stamps, and I’ve recently become interested in … some might even say “obsessed with” … dies and stencils. So naturally I fell in love with Stampin’ Up! products as soon as I started using them. They are perfect for all the different workshops I’m planning this year, and they’ve made it really easy for me to get started right away!
